I have to admit that writing is much more important than I thought. Don't think my job is all about fixing computer and writing codes; formal and informal writing takes about one third of what I do, such as documenting technical specification, code commenting, explaining ideas and problems, giving out instructions, communicating with technical and non-technical people, and so on. Had I realized how important it is, I could have spent more time improving my writing skill, but fear not, I have wonderful colleagues to teach me to write better.
